The Fairfield USD #310 Daycare just received some very positive news in early March. The news arrived that the daycare was chosen for two grants totaling $3,017. The first grant for $920 was from the Richard W. Dillon Fund for Youth Philanthropy and was to create an indoor “Toddler Movement Zone.” This is for days when the outside weather or wind prohibits going outdoors. This funding will allow for the purchase of age-appropriate equipment for the toddlers to play on to continue development of gross motor skills. It includes stepping stones and buildable furniture for the students to enjoy.
Secondly, the daycare was chosen for a $2097 grant from the Charles E. Carey Memorial Endowment Fund of the Hutchinson Community Foundation. These funds will go toward developing an art and sensory station for the toddlers. The staff of the daycare is looking forward to the arrival of the new equipment and supplies to provide even more fun for the toddlers during their time at school.
