Buddy Bench

Buddy Bench
Posted on 08/06/2017
Buddy BenchA Buddy Bench is a special bench on the playground where students can sit if they are feeling bored or lonely.  It's usually brightly colored and labeled "BUDDY BENCH" in big letters.  Other students can then go to the bench and ask them if they would like to play or talk.  Experts say that including kids who are alone at recess or lunch could also help combat bullying.

Fairfield Elementary will soon have a buddy bench, thanks to the Reno County Deputy Sheriff's Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 18.  They are holding a fund-raiser called DUNK A DEPUTY at Target in Hutchinson on Saturday, August 12, from noon until 4:00 pm.  Please see the attached document for more information about this activity, and please be there to help the officers in their support for our Fairfield Elementary students!
