This is the image for the news article titled Boil Water AdvisoryBoil Water Advisory is in effect for Fairfield Schools due to a break in the water line yesterday during construction.  This is precautionary but will remain in effect until conditions are approved by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE).

For now, water fountains are off limits but all students and staff will have access to the Culligan water dispensers for drinking.

KDHE issued the Boil Water Advisory on October 3 and according to the document it "will remain in effect until conditions which place the system at risk of contamination are deemed by KDHE officials to be adequately resolved."  You can see the full statement by clicking on the link below.

According to Dr. Reed, "I have been assured that while we are under advisory, every indication from our water pumps is that the water supply in the main building has been chlorinated, this will just be a precaution."

If you have any concerns, please contact the district office or Dr. Nathan Reed, Superintendent at 620-596-2152 or nreed@usd310.org.
