This is the image for the news article titled Washington, D.C. Youth TourWould you like a FREE trip to Washington, D.C.?  If you are a junior and your family uses Midwest Energy for electricity, you are eligible to apply for the Electric Cooperative Youth Tour to Washington, D.C.!

The Youth Tour is organized by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association with assistance from state cooperative associations.

The Youth Tour is scheduled for June 8-15, 2017, when students will visit many of the historic sites around Washington, D.C. as well as learn about their future roles as citizens and encourage leadership in rural communities.  Students also visit their U.S. representatives' and senators' offices, and other federal agencies.

All expenses are included in the Youth Tour including transportation, meals and hotel accommodations.  Students may want to bring money for souvenirs, but all other expenses are covered. 

Applications are due March 1, 2017.
