USD 310 Fairfield is seeking a Transportation Director  

QUALIFICATIONS:              

* A flexible person with good common sense and be able to work in a changing environment.

* Valid CDL Class B with passenger, school bus, and air brakes endorsements.

* Maintain a K.D.O.T. physical and must be in good health and able to lift heavy objects.

* Must have mechanical, electrical and newer bus technologies repair knowledge.

* Must learn all state laws regarding school transportation.

* Possesses the skills necessary to maintain good relations with staff, students, and the parents.

* Working knowledge of USD 310 area and be able to read map addresses effectively.

* Must pass pre-employment D.O.T. drug test and maintain drug free per district policy.

* Strong computer skills.

DAYCARE PROVIDER OPENING 

USD # 310 is now accepting applications for a Fairfield Daycare Director. This person will oversee and run the day-to-day operations of a small child care center (up to 10 children) located on the Fairfield Campus. Most of the duties will include direct supervision of children from birth to three-years-old, but will also include the following:

  1. Setting the tone of the facility and managing the image of the center.

  2. Maintaining a safe, appropriate, positive environment for children and infants.

  3. Following all KDHE regulations and guidelines.

  4. Ensuring compliance with all local and federal laws governing child care.
  5. Helping manage financial aspects of the program.
  6. Communicating well with parents and stakeholders.
  7. Coordinating program aspects with other Fairfield staff (i.e. food service, etc…)

Applicants must possess a high school diploma and be willing to undergo training, licensure, and certification this summer with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. Applicants must also pass an extensive background check including fingerprinting (a state requirement.)  Hourly wage is dependent upon experience, qualification, and certification. The Daycare Director would work when teachers are on duty at  Fairfield (approximately mid August until the end of May.)
